Monday I was up early and found I'd almost run out of coffee in the room. Got ready and packed then headed to the nearby Christmas market (Hafen). Bought an elderberry wine and a quince wine off a lady who's stuff looked like it was for sale in the pagan village. She was prepared and had a list of what all the names were and translations of them. She gave me a canvas bag as a pressie and I put them in my rucksack before I forgot about them.

I then went to the Altstadt christmas market where I had a goulaschsuppe. I went to the backerei where I got a stollen and some biscuits. I then went to somewhere that looked nice and had a monkfish fillet on a risotto which was lovely. I had some kolsh, a kids beer (had never heard of it) and a creme caramel.

Afterwards I explored the rest of the market (it was a lot bigger than I'd realised) and got some cheeses and some sweets. I got some more kolsh for Squirry and settled in Papa Joe's. I'm guessing they had Markus's worst nightmare - an automated accordian and tuba band. Service was painfully slow in there but it was pleasant enough till half the bar sang along to the mechanical band!

I then found the Cathedral Christmas market where I got many things.

I then staggered to the hauptbahnhoff and tried to catch a train only there was one on the platform that wasn't going anywhere. I tried to get another train from the moved platform but didn't understand. I then went back to the first platform then followed an announcement the train was from a different platform. Almost missed it as the train wasn't going there, but behind it on the platform was a train that was. Got it and it slowly went there - it took 25 mins to get to the airport instead of 10 mins. Still they said 2 people were under a train (hence the delays).

At the airport I remembered my promices to Ashleigh and had another attempt at getting Orkus. Groundside had one copy so I got it. Went airside they also had a copy so I also got it. The plane was 20 mins late but it was a good flight.

At stansted tried the automatic passport control but it didn't recognise me. Human did though. I waited ages for baggage then just as I was going to groundside the world duty free had an offer that grabbed me - 2l of baileys for £22!!!! Had to get that.

I went to the station and got my special ticket then was on the stanstead express.

A while later the train went slowly but eventually we got to Tottenham hale from where I caught the bus.

At home I spent a long time unpacking and giving mum stuff who was very pleased.

I then hopped in the bath then went to bed.

It had been a busy few days.

On Sunday I was up early and put virgin alternative on the tv then settled in to bed. At what I thought was midday and after the 2nd deflected attempt to clean my room I got up. Made a coffee with the teabag like coffee machine then showered, moisturised then headed out.

I ambled to the Altstadt and had a feuerzangebowle. I then went back to the Pfaffen brauerei and had a sauerbraten, some hot cherries and ice cream and some bock beer. A while later I needed coffee so found a backerei that had nice Christmas stuff. Thought I must go back tomorrow. Had a nice coffee and a much needed toilet break.

I then walked back to the station and caught a tram 1 stop then changed and caught another tram. 5 mins later I was outside the Live Music Hall which was closed. Seems I was 10 mins early. They soon let us in and I found some people had nice tickets printed from somewhere. My eventim ticket was as bad looking as a ticketmaster ticket.

Went in and ordered 2 kolshs and a waldemeister vodka. I drank these quite quickly then ordered a cider. It tasted peachy and was nice and crucially came in a lot bigger bottle than a glass of kolsh. I then went to the front and was 5 from the stage or so.

The support band was ok nothing special. There was then a break and on came Faun. Musically it was brilliant and much as it pains me to admit it Lisa's replacement is a more varied musician with as good a voice. They played for quite a while then the gig was over surprisingly early (but then again it is a Sunday night). I got two bottles of the cider (one closed) and caught trams back. I found at the tram stop there was a kebab shop and I was all excited when I spotted a dark red sauce but it turned out to be curry sauce (and contained wheat). I also got a bottle of Kolsh for Squirry.

I walked back to the hotel ate my kebab meat and chips then went to the hotel bar for a nightcap.

It had been a good day.

Friday - somehow I didn't get to bed till 9:30 - not great when you have a 4am start.

On Saturday I was up stupidly early and was just getting ready to drink my coffee when my phone rang - the minicab driver was 20 mins early!!! Thought he can wait 5 mins for being so early and got ready quicker than I would have.

Went outside and I thought I'm sure I've forgotten something as I kissed mum goodbye. We were just seeing signs for Colchester when I realised - I'd forgotten my glasses :-( Got to the airport and had a baked potato and a coffee. Then went airside and had a cider then caught the automated train to the gate. There were 2 German wings flights in that area and the ambulance came for the one going to Hannover. Luckily the one to Cologne was unaffected by the excitement.

Flight was good and I realised I could see Cologne cathedral and the Tanzbrunnen on the way over Cologne. Cologne airport seemed tiny and soon we were through passport control and our bags were waiting on the other side. I ambled to the station and a kind woman from Deutschebahn sold me a ticket to the main station. Train was ok and I got a seat despite the train being half full. We were soon at the hauptbahnhoff where I got a bit lost on my way into town. I got so lost it took me an hour to find the hotel during which I went at least 4 u-bahn stops the wrong way and only found my way back with satnav. On the plus point I did discover but not visit 3 christmas markets along the way.

Got to the hotel and it was too early to check in so left my stuff at left luggage. I went to the hotel dining room but they only had snacks containing wheat. I thought the review of the hotel praising the dining must be a mistake. I then went to the nearby Christmas market and had a portion of mushrooms and a couple of individual feuerzangenbowles. I was right by the entrance to the Chocolate museum so it seemed rude not to go in. €7.50 later I was given a small chocolate and an admission ticket. Inside I was relieved that 90% of the stuff was in both English and German. Twas interesting and I liked their mini planted rainforest greenhouse. Upstairs they had a mini working chocolate plant where they made Lindt chocolates that you could buy!!! I got some for the office and some for mum. I then went to the shop and bought a bottle of chocolate licquer for mum then went to the cafe. Cake was out of the question but they had some very interesting hot chocolates that were incredibly chocolatey!!! Or at least the couple I had were.

Afterwards I went to the hotel and checked in then in my room unpacked and moisturised myself. I dozed in the bed listening to Virgin alternative on the tv. I then went to the hotel restaurant - Chino Latino at the Art Otel. I surprised myself by not asking for an English guide but had a delicvious duck breast with pac choi, mushrooms and sauces and jasmine rice. Yum.

Afterwards I went to the Altstadt Christmas market (though I later found I only visited half of it). It was lovely and the drinks were nice though I didn't buy anything non drink related (though there were a lot of delicious Christmas drinks for sale). Afterwards I went to a bar to warm up then on to a lovely brauhaus - Pfaffen. Had a couple of drinks of Bockbier and thought the menu looked interesting. Decided to come back on the Sunday.

Mum was in the west end on Friday so we went to Umai factory for lunch. Mum was amazed at the selection of stuff and had a big box of sushi while I had a chicken katsu curry. I went back to work and left mum looking round the supermarket at the back.

After work I came home, had something to eat before heading out again. Mum commented I could have had a bath in the time!

I then headed to Angel to Republic at the Chapel bar. Aparantly I was 5 mins early but was let in if I paid. I paid and got a drink in the very nice bar then found the bar were doing the cloakroom and it was free. I then found a seat and waited for people to arrive while listening to Paul Garside's set. Paul's set was interesting but I didn't think I knew any songs. During this time a few people wandered past who I waved to then I Had a long chat to Alan who was flyering. He commented I'd lost a lot of weight since M'era Luna which is always good to hear.

After a while Alan drifted off and I found the music was too electronic for my tastes and I wasn't that keen on Natasha's or Andy's sets as they were music I really don't like. Ed (ex Screaming banshee aircrew) came over during this time and said I looked really miserable and we had a long chat.

I was then thinking I was sat on my own I had a lot of plans for tomorrow and if I left then I could catch the tube home (which is a lot easier, quicker and more pleasant than the nightbuses) so I collected my coat, waved to a few people then headed off into the night.

I was feeling peckish, so had a corn on the cob from the chicken burger place then some cadbury's fingers before going to bed.

Thursday a package arrived for me at work. This isn't unusual but this one contained 10kg of dead sea salts.

This led to a slight logistical problem - how to get it home ok.

Well by tube was the obvious answer, so I lugged it to the nearby tube and after a little juggling of package and ticket got through the barrier ok. I had to ride the escalator rather than walk down as usual.

The problem occurred on the platform - it was packed and while a train was there it was packed. I manoeuvred my way down the platform and realised there were delays in the kings cross area, so found a seat to sit on with the parcel on my lap. Eventually a train I thought I could fit on arrived and I had to hold the central pillar while holding the package. Luckily I managed to get a seat at the next stop which solved most of the transport issues. I only just managed to get it home in one piece and when I opened it I found they'd chosen a box only just big enough for the two 5kg sachets.

I rescheduled my German lesson once because of Karl's birthday drinks.

It was tempting to reschedule again as our office had been invited to a free food and drink promo for local buisnesses at a local restaurant, but I think I'll stick to my guns and keep that lesson, not least as the last one didn't happen as Florian was in Sweden.

I had a dental appointment this morning. The appointment came about as I realised last week I'd not heard from them in a while and when I phoned up they'd not sent out appointments due to a cockup.

So this morning I was half dreading it as I'd not been for over a year. However the magic that is my Braun electric toothbrush meant that I needed no fillings, I had virtually no discolouration of my teeth and I just needed some minor cleaning.

But the really good bit is my dentist remembered me and said that I was looking well and that my eczema had virtually completely gone! So the treatments are working.

Was up at 3pm and put on the heating for a bath. Then fell asleep till 6:30pm. By this time it was more than 24 hours since I'd last moisturised my body and my skin wasn't dry which shows the creams and avoiding bread have made a difference.

I also found Shreena had friended me on Facebook and while looking through phone numbers found Facebook had come up trumps for a change. The lady I mentioned on Friday's phone number appears to be in my phone!

I also found I have a result for someone writing my will which is great.

I listened to the mind programming cd and was energised, so stripped the spare bed. It was after my bath so I didn't want to hop on the rowing machine, so I settled on the bed listening to a cd Anki gave me once and realised while I didn't like it Ashleigh might like it so packed it for work. I then settled down listening to Zeitgeist by the Levellers and meaning to read Ultimate Dunbell guide but just enjoyed the music which sent me to sleep.

A few hours later I checked up online again, cleaned my teeth then went to bed.

Bit of a waste of a Sunday and it is why I don't like going to Slimelight.

Saturday I was woken at noon by noises outside my room I rekoned was probably Zed having a shower, then mum banged on my door to get me up. Got up and went downstairs to find mum and Zed chatting. Zed hadn't been reading LJ in a while but wanted to see the difference between my before and after photos for weightloss. She reckoned there was a major difference in the before and after photos. Zed headed off then I tried to find stuff to eat (not easy as most things have bread in them that were easily available. In the end I had a cuppa soup, some cruchy nut cornflakes and some porridge. I then was bathing when I heard the phone go and reckoned that was probably Squirry (as she and Laura are the only people who call the landline for me). When I was out of the bath it was Squirry who'd called. She wanted to play pool at the fallen Angel, so we met at 6ish at The Glasshouse in Angel.

Music in there was shit and a few of the decent beers were off that day. We had a pint and headed off in search of food. We wandered past a new looking place called Made in Italy and it looked good. Squirry overcame her fear of the unknown when she saw they had courgette stick fritters and I was keen on the idea of gnocci. We went in and it was nice though we were both very hungry by then.

We had courgette fritters as a starter (it was a side) and mozerella in breadcrumbs in a tomato sauce then I had gnocci and Squirry had bruchetta. Twas very nice and I looked at the desert menu and they'd only sodding put hazlenuts in the cream on the tiramisu. Not happy about that. I had an interesting cake that Squirry liked the bit she tried and we had coffee that was strong and delicious.

Squirry wanted a look around Waitrose for yellow courgettes but they didn't have them, but they did have a tray of cobnuts that was looking decidedly empty after Squirry had filled a bag with them.

We then wandered to the Fallen Angel getting slightly lost on the way as I thought it was round the corner and it wasn't. It was busy when we got there and I got drinks while Squirry set up the pool table. I said hiyas to a few people then told Glenn and Stuart Squirry was in the back room. Got us a Cassis each then went to play pool only to find no cue ball (mental note, next time check for cueball before paying for the game).

Introduced Squirry to a few people, then we played with the black as the cue ball. Every shot I nearly pocketed a yellow only for it to bounce out of the pocket so I well and truly lost to Squirry. A little later people were attacking the quiz machine so we joined them and Squirry did well on some questions. People left the room to see Terminal Gods leaving Squirry to play her fave games on the machine.

Terminal gods started playing and I said hiyas to people. A little while later the smoke machine filled up the pub with smoke and Squirry got smoked out of the back room so briefly joined Terminal Gods on stage. She then said goodbye and hugged me goodbye. Terminal Gods put on a good show then when I mentioned Squirry to Stuart he said I should marry her so that when people think we are an old married couple they'd be right! I think she'd be horified by that idea. Afterwards Shreena had a long chat to me where she was apologetic about being dismissive of me at Reptile and I said I didn't remember. I then joined Glenn, Emily and friends for a while till they went to Slimelight (and tried to persuade me to go). I then chatted to Paul Sticks, Lily and Lisa (Lily's sister) for a while before heading to Slimelight.

Got to Slimelight and found half of it was closed but got a drink and went to the Goth Floor. It was quiet but there was good music and after a while I danced a bit. There was one lass who took it in turns dancing with Alcuin and dancing with me. She had a habit of twirling just in front of me, and well her dress was on the ground a bit. The inevitable happened and twice I nearly ripped her dress off by treading on it as she was twirling. She seemed ok about that but I was feeling guilty. She spent the time not dancing talking to Alcuin.

About half four I thought I'd call it a night so headed for the nightbus stop. 16 mins till my bus and it was quite cool. I thought I'd get some chips from the nearby kebab shop and that and eating them nicely killed time till the bus arrived. I think I didn't get to bed till 5:45am.

Friday Zed was in town and Squirry wanted to see her again (Squirry reckons Zed reminds her of Nemi). This meant despite having an interesting other offer (dinner + club with someone whom there appears to be mutual interest) I was meeting up with Zed and others.

Got to the Crobar to find Zed and Squirry. Got drinks and was chatting when Glenn came in looking the most stubbly I've seen him. We then spotted Sue stop outside the door and phone someone, so I grabbed her. Got a hug from Sue as I went to buy her a drink and she said she can see why I come here when she saw the barmaid who was serving [Sue later reckoned the barmaid was very very pretty from the neck down].

Still we had good chats for an hour or so till Sue left. There were hugs all round then and Squirry seemed glad to receive her hug off Sue. Squirry was suffering Glennvy as she was envious my Glenn had showed up and her's didn't. Squirry was curious about the big Amazon box that I'd lugged to the pub, but seemed disapointed when I told her what was in it. We then had a good evenings chats and listening to music with Glenn also tempted by the t shirts in there. Squirry I think succeeded in grabbing sofa space off Glenn for a gig in Reading. Squirry had many aborted attempts to leave before finally going. I mentioned my other offer for the evening and when Zed and Glenn saw her picture they couldn't beleive I'd turned up to the Crobar, but I don't let down my friends, particularly those who are staying with me and would be bedless for the night. Eventually we called it a night and Zed and I walked to Trafalgar square to catch a bus to my place. Zed saw why we walked that as by the second bus stop nearly all seats on the bendy bus had gone. At home I got Zed a pint of water then she went to the spare room.

At my last job I felt I wasn't getting enough done so bought the book getting things done.

Their main premise was to write everything down in a list and update it regularly and cross off things as you do them.

I've recently been reading and listening to the mind programming cd of Instant Confidence and they emphasise action. This is great you actually start the things, but on the other hand I often find it a little harder to track progress as it takes less time to start on something than it does to write it down on the list.

As an example last night while listening to one of my many unlistened to cds I thought I should shred my ancient bank statements, so I duly wrote it down on my todo list. I then realised it had taken me longer to do so than walk to the bookcase to get the statements. I then did so grabbed them and went downstairs and started shredding and almost shredded the lot (about 140 pages of thick paper) before the heat sensor cut out the shredder.

Still talking of progress yesterday I walked about 4 miles, I bought a pocket diary for next year, I bought a pair of a lot smaller work trousers (which are 32" but the waist being higher is over a bit of my gut meaning it needs to cover 34" so am 2" into the elastic) and I bought an excercise bench. I also shredded a lot of ancient bank statements and a lot of ancient receipts and listened to two eps for the first time. I also tried to watch Schandmaul's Traumtanzer dvd but it just seemed to be 2 hours of the band chilling and making the album Traumtanzer, so I gave up after about 10 mins.

Today so far I've fixed a problem with a site.

I've also had a touristy round trip walk (from Picadilly circus to Oxford Circus to Tottenham Court Road to Cambridge circus then back to Picadilly circus) in search of a couple of things (and was only half successful), however the 40 min walk probably did me quite a bit of good. 3 daft monkeys on the mp3 player sped me on my way.

I also ordered some more zinc supplements, and am pondering getting an excercise bench and some smaller work trousers - these are about 4" too wide at the waist. If I can get the same things 6" narrower I'll be happy as they have an elasticated section of waist so will fit me as I continue shrinking.

I also am loking at cutting drinking to no more than 3 days a week (one heavily socialising week looked like it was going to be 6 times, but usually it is 3-4 times a week with one of those being a single bottle of beer with a meal at home. I'm going to have a go at halving my alcohol consumption per week, mostly because I realised in a typical evening out with Squirry I probably have 6-800 calories of beer and if your goal is to loose weight that isn't helping any.

This probably also means am going to only see Squirry once a week which will also help me in the looking for someone decent as a girlfriend since when people see us together they assume we are married. The weight loss is also helping as I feel more confident and as I look a better dating prospect.

Metal Zed is in town this weekend. Anyone fancying a trip to the Crobar on Friday night to say hi to her and to make her feel welcome?

I had a quiet night in on Friday. In retrospect I should have gone to a town outerlying London to spend an evening with a model and her friends, expecially as when I said I'd get there to late to be worth it she suggested going for a meal with friends the week later (but am busy then). I suggested something local to her but it's not her thing. Argh. Still on the plus side my skin was awful due mostly to a sandwich on Wednesday so no bad thing I didn't go.

On Saturday I met Squirry in Angel at the Glasshouse where we had a drink. We then went in search of Kipfel's the Austrian deli I mentioned on Facebook. Initial thing was Camden passage wasn't where I thought it was (but found it than ks to GPS and google on my phone). I phoned Kals to see about visiting him and his cat as Squirry and I were curious but we kept getting cut off. Damned.

Still eventually we fdound Kipfel's and it was too busy to get a seat :-( We went to a place opposite Elk in the tree (I think) where while the food was nice the portions were small and the cost was high. It also got off to a bad middle as Squirry had too much beer and offered me some, but had been eating a wallnut and beetroot humums. The traces of wallnut from her saliva meant my eyes were itchy and my throat was slightly puffy.

I was still hungry so Squirry suggested Kipfels where they had a table at last. We had very nice coffee and cake but had to have the beer as a takeaway as they don't have a licence. We then ambled over to the Hobgoblin to meet Scott as Squirry had heard they did Casis and wanted some.

We got there and there was a very friendly woman who I think was called Susan at the bar and a not very nice man sat near her. She seemed very friendly and we chatted to her for a while. I think she thought Squirry and I were married though. The man who later offended Squirry said that watch out for her she is mad, but I replied the best women are. After a while (and having just gotten our blackcurrant beers) Scott arrived. The four of us chatted for a while before Squirry decided we needed to play pool. We had quite a few games with me beating Squirry and Squirry beating Scott. Scott went out for food and got some cod and chips which looked good.

We went to leave the pub and I got an enormous hug and a kiss on the lips from Susan (first kiss on the lips in a while). We walked to the bus stop and bumped into Neil who completely missed that we were with Squirry. She seemed a little put out he'd not noticed her. After a hug goodbye we headed to the bus stop and Squirry headed to the Crobar. Scott commented beats him why we haven't gone out as we appear to be an old married couple together.

The bus turned up and soon we were wizzing our way to Aldgate. We got there and walked to Reptile. Grabbed a drink and joined some people from LGMG. I then realised Sophie had sat down on her own opposite me so I invited her over and she seemed glad. She is very shy and quiet, so at least she can sit in silence amongst those she knows than on her own. Rosie asked if she could join us and I said yes. I surprised myself by asking if her full name was her (it was) then we were talking and I found she works close to me and said we'd have to get in touch and go for after work drinks, which surprised me. I later got talking in the evening to quite a few other people which was great.

The end of the night came and Susan (the usual one rather than the one from the Hobgoblin) and I caught the bus homewards.

It had been a pretty good day.

Yesterday was Neil's birthday so after work we went to Quinn's.

Twice in the night I got the last bottle of something interesting much to others jealousy. Still good beers, good food, good conversations etc, though I think Paul upet Sue a bit by his questions to everyone of what was the skankiest thing you've ever done and what was the best thing you've ever done for others.

I know that is a tricky one as I once asked a friend what their main regret was in life and got the answer that they didn't succeed when they tried to commit suicide. I mean how can you turn around someones opinions who feels like that to show that life is worth living and all the good things they can and do experience.

I mean I've been to one wake this year for a friend (Donovan) and that was one too many for my tastes. I'd rather not be in the situation where there was the need for a wake for a friend.

German last week was something different than usual - I wanted a revision lesson on grammar.

Surprisingly this involved a lot of teaching me what the different bits of a sentence were in English as we are taught English so badly in the UK that it hinders learning other languages.

Some progress was made and I learned more about English grammar than German.

I'm trying to do a bit more as while my gut has diminished quite a bit, I think it went more proportionately with the rest of my body so is still to my mind a bit on the big side.

So yesterday while fired up from my Paul McKenna cd I rowed 1km. To many people that doesn't sound much but the increased body temperature triggered my eczema so I had to give up and cool down to stop itching.

Today mum mentioned when I next have my German lesson that she'd like some of the nice bread from the great Greek or Turkish place (not sure which it is and with that one it doesn't pay to ask questions). This is mid way between Manor House and Turnpike Lane station. So after work I was feeling in an energised mood so thought I'd walk it. I had Roxette's greatest hits on (and no Anki it isn't a blank cd) and it provided a great stompy beat for walking to (strange - it never occured to me it might make good excercise music). I stormed through Haringey reaching the place, paying for the bread (and resisting the very tempting cakes) before coming home with it. Mum was surprised and pleased. I then was perspiring and over heating which was triggering my eczema so went to my room to cool down a bit.

I also found after the Paul McKenna cd I thought I'd try and do some sit ups and managed 12 before realising it was getting trickier to do properly. This kind of stretching / toning excercise is a lot better for me as it doesn't trigger my eczema.

So yes, thats my progress on one of my goals to excercise more.

I've also had a nectarine every day for the last week and a half. That is another of my goals.

The weekend - had a lot more drinks than planned with a bad influence Squirrel and her friend Glenn on friday in the crobar.

On Saturday I was up late and gradually got ready then waited ages for John and Laura to arrive during which time I posted about kebabs which turned out to be the most popular of my pieces ever I think.

They arrived and we went to the local Wetherspoon for food and they kindly paid for my food. During chatting it seemed like John hadn't heard of Joe Satriani despite playing guitar. When we went back to mine I played him a song from the Extremist which he liked. We then caught buses to the Dome using mum's spare two Oystercards, though unfortunately Laura's was 10p short of a single fare so she had to pay the cash fare :-( Still we got there and got a thorough search which was a little annoying but not too bad.

Went up and said hiya to Psyche (who with Purple Stuart was having the 40th birthday do). We got drinks and I went and said hiyas to some people like Simon of Luxury Stranger before joining Sue and Graham. John and Laura had grabbed seats elsewhere till I waved them to join us. We chatted for ages then the first bit of entertainment for the night started - a cabaret act that wasn't my thing. There was then a band that was ok, then Psyche played keyboards which was great. There was then Luxury Stranger who were great as usual. There was then a magician who was great then finally Manuskript. Time hasn't been to kind on the lead singer shape wise butthey put on a blinder of a performance. The club part started afterwards with a vengence and there was great music. Took me a while but I danced a bit. About 3am it turned bleepy so we said out goodbyes and called it a night. it had been a truly awesome night with a lot of people I know and a good couple of hundred people showed up. Afterwards we walked to Holloway road then caught the bus to wood green where we had bagels. Laura had never had Ackie and Saltfish before and she loved it. We then walked back to home. where we called it a night.

On Sunday I got woken by Laura coming into my room to chat and wake me up. Once we were all up we walked to the local cafe where mum, John and Laura had the veggie set breakfast and I had a curry. I was well aware that I was late getting to a meetup. We then went back to my place where John couldn't find the car keys or the house keys! They searched everywhere than I wondered if it had been handed in at the Dome. I phoned the Boston Arms and after about 20 questions established they'd been handed in. Mum went with them to get them while I headed to the LGMG Bree Louise meet.

I got there to find the others crammed round a big table and Kat made a comment about my timekeeping (it must have been 3 hours after the meetup started, but Ian Valentine was later than me). Looked at the cider list and they had 10 real ciders, none of which I'd had before. Combined with a 50p CAMRA discount a pint it made for a great time.

I chatted to most people there, had quite afew interesting ciders and had one of their pies (which got a £2 CAMRA discount) which as I feared was stew with a big puff pastry lid. Still it was a great day even if I didn't get to play Labyrinth which I'd taken with me. The end came and we made our way back with Kat talking to me a little bout diet.

Talking of Diet Robin said I'd lost weight which is great as I'd been wondering if I'd lost any more. One thing I've noticed is my going out trousers have gone from being tight to being slack to being ok with a t shirt tucked in. Now they are loose enough I thought they'd fall down with a t shirt tucked in. Might have to dig out the next size down that I held onto.
